All businesses in England are now able to sign up to the government’s free COVID-19 workplace testing programme.
Since the pandemic began, we have been taking the necessary precautions to reduce the risk of Covid-19 transmission within the workplace in order to keep employees, visitors and our engineers safe. Our response has continually evolved overtime, keeping up with the latest guidance, legislation, information and tools as they have become available.
HLS engineers have been taking rapid lateral flow tests which provides a further layer of protection for our customer site visits. This was introduced primarily for essential businesses such as food manufacturing and healthcare. It’s good news this has now become open to all businesses in the UK and now all our consultants will also be taking tests prior to site visits, as we incorporate this into our risk assessments for all customer site visits.

Supply of tests will support the government’s plan to cautiously ease restrictions by helping to stop the spread of the virus. Around one in three people who have coronavirus do not have symptoms, so to help stop them from unknowingly passing it on, regular rapid testing is essential to find more positive cases. Lateral flow tests are helping children go back to school, keeping healthcare staff safe and making sure businesses can reopen safely and are more likely to stay open.
