HLS is independent, which means we can supply powered access platforms from some of the world’s leading brands – including Braviisol, Bluelift, Faraone, PB Lifttechnik, Genie, JLG, Nifty Lift and Haulotte – as well as impartial advice and guidance on their applications. Our product range spans boom lifts, vertical lifts, scissor lifts, spider lifts, bespoke and manual access equipment, available new and used for sale, short-term hire and long-term lease.
We know our product range inside and out, and we’re happy to pass this expertise on to our customers. With experience in a wide range of industries, from manufacturing and logistics to retail and facilities management, we’re confident in our ability to deliver the right working at height solution for almost any need.
Working at height in the UK is subject to a number of rules and regulations, including the Work at Height Regulations (WAHR) 2005, Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations (LOLER) 1998, and Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations (PUWER) 1998. Here at HLS, we’re committed to helping our customers fulfil their compliance requirements and deliver a culture of safety throughout their organisation.
Under LOLER and PUWER, it’s mandatory for organisations to inspect and maintain powered access platforms and other lifting equipment at regular intervals. HLS provides a full range of maintenance and repair services to help customers meet their regulatory requirements, as well as keep their equipment running as safely and efficiently as possible.
For organisations that have yet to identify the risks and considerations around working at height on their premises, HLS offers full site survey and risk assessment service in which we assess their work environment, discuss their training and maintenance requirements, and use this information to make recommendations and devise an action plan. It’s the perfect starting point for safe and compliant working at height.
HLS offers a number of internationally recognised training courses, including IPAF, PASMA and NPORS, and can also deliver bespoke training to meet site-specific needs. Our training can either be carried out on site at customers’ premises or in one of our dedicated UK training facilities, and we can organise refresher courses to ensure continued compliance with the latest best practice and legal requirements.
