IPAF Training Mobile Boom Category 3a

IPAF 3b Mobile Boom Course Description

This course instructs an operator to prepare and safely operate mobile booms, self-propelled booms, cherry picker, boom lifts and may be articulated or telescopic booms.

Mobile booms can be complex to operate and we may recommend a smaller course size or a longer course if the operators are novice.

A mix of theory and practical training, this course is designed to enable operators to manoeuvre, drive and position the MEWPs safely and proficiently. Courses can be undertaken using boom lifts, trailer mounted or truck mounted platforms.

This course is Instructor-led practical training with both a written and practical assessment.

Delegates successfully completing the course will receive an IPAF Certificate and Powered Access Licence (PAL) Card valid for 5 years.

On-site training

Our on-site training is available anywhere in the UK and Ireland subject to minimum numbers. A suitable room would be required for on-site training for the theory section of the course, and a Mobile Boom is needed for the practical.
