Harness Awareness & User Training

Harness Awareness and Harness User - Maximum 10 Delegates per day - Half Day course - Max 2 sessions a day

The IPAF Harness course instructs delegates on who is responsible for selecting and enforcing full body safety harnesses and restraint lanyards when using a Mobile Elevated Work Platform (MEWP). Please note: Delegates will need to bring their own harness and lanyard for the course for practical exercises.

Steps-and-ladders

Steps and Ladders - Maximum 8 delegates - Half day course

This is a half day theory course designed to give the knowledge needed for the correct and safe use of Steps and Ladders when working at height. Delegates will learn to select appropriate work at height equipment for a task, inspect ladders and stepladders for damage, correctly position and locate, and safely use ladders and stepladders.

MEWP-Operator

"In house" Operator training - Maximum 6 delegates - From half day to 1 day courses

As well as IPAF courses we offer the equivalent "in house" course which covers all varieties of MEWP. "In House" training is recommended for low use environments where only a single model of MEWP will be used. Training takes between a half day and 2 days dependant upon the equipment and the experience of the operator.

MEWP-familiarisation

MEWP Familiarisation - Maximum 8 Delegates - 1 hour course

A MEWP familiarisation is vital for operators to understand the controls, features and emergency lowering procedures of a specific model of equipment. This should be carried out with operators for new equipment or in the case or a hire.

We offer a manual handling course that incorporates manual handling at height. This is a half day theory course with practical exercises. This course can also be tailored to your needs and the type of manual handling.
